DOVER, Del. -- Dover International Speedway, the one-mile concrete-paved "Monster Mile" near the Mid-Atlantic shore of the Atlantic Ocean, has a 35-year legacy of arduous competition on its 24-degree high-banked oval.

Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and defending MBNA 400 winner Ryan Newman all have a chance Sunday to add to Dover's statistical legacy.
